The Sherlock: The Network application ("App") is produced by The Digital Project Factory Pty Ltd ("TPF"). TPF is committed to protecting your personal information when you are using the App. We want the App to be a safe and enjoyable environment for you to use. This Privacy Policy relates to our use of any personal information you provide to us. It also describes generally our practices for handling non-personally identifiable information to the extent such information is associated with a particular user or user account. The App may contain hyperlinks to websites owned and operated by third parties. These third party websites have their own privacy policies, including cookies, and we urge you to review them. They will govern the use of personal information which you submit or which is collected by cookies whilst visiting these websites. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for the privacy practices of such third party websites and your use of such websites is at your own risk.

What information may be collected?

If you choose to log in with Facebook to use the App, the App may ask for Facebook permissions allowing it to retrieve information, including personal information, from it. If you choose to log in without using Facebook, you may choose to provide a username and give us access to your photos on your device to be used as a profile picture. Please note that your username may count as personal information if you choose to use your real name and the profile image may count as personal information if you choose to use a picture of yourself. No matter how you choose to log in, when you do so we will assign you a Player ID to identify your account.

We may also collect non-personally identifiable information about your use of the App. This is what is known as ‘usage data’ and might include: the IP addresses or domain names of the computers utilized by you to use this App, the URI addresses (Uniform Resource Identifier), the time of the request, the method utilized to submit the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server's answer (successful outcome, error, etc.), the country of origin, the features of the browser and the operating system utilized by you, the various time details per visit (e.g., the time spent on each page within the App) and the details about the path followed within the App with special reference to the sequence of pages visited, and other parameters about the device operating system and/or your IT environment.

We take your privacy and the security of any personal information you provide to us very seriously and take reasonable administrative, technical, personnel and physical measures to safeguard user information in our possession against loss, theft and authorised use, disclosure or modification. We do not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly obtain parental consent or remove the information.

We do not use or collect your precise geographic location.

How will you use the information you collect about me?

We also may make identifiable and anonymous information available to third parties in these limited circumstances: (1) with your express consent, (2) when we have a good faith belief it is required by law, (3) when we have a good faith belief it is necessary to protect our rights or property, or (4) to any successor or purchaser in a merger, acquisition, liquidation, dissolution or sale of assets. Your consent will not be required for disclosure in these cases, but we will attempt to notify you, to the extent permitted by law to do so.

Analytics companies may access anonymous data (such as your IP address or device ID) to help us understand how the App is used. They use this data solely on our behalf. They do not share it except in aggregate form; no data is shared as to any individual user.

Information we collect may be stored or processed on computers located in any country where we do business.

We do not allow advertising companies to collect data through our service for ad targeting. We generally do not share personally identifiable information (such as name, address, email or phone) with other companies for marketing purposes.

We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary to provide the service. You can contact us by email to request to see or delete any of your personally identifiable information we have stored. We may retain other data indefinitely.
